Beach Wedding June 12, 2011

Jessica and Chris' wedding was an intimate, fun event on the beach in Nags Head, NC. We enjoyed our time working with the couple and getting to be part of their big day!

After some fun time on the beach shooting the couple, we were able to celebrate with them at their reception at Joshua's Tiki Hut. We hope Jessica and Chris enjoy a long and happy future together!

Mawyer Wedding

The Mawyer wedding took place at Hilton Garden Inn. We love doing shoots here, and this wedding was no exception. It was a beautiful June day for a wedding! The ceremony was followed by a lively reception at the Hilton's pier house. Jacquelyn and Ronald were a fun, energetic couple and we really enjoyed capturing that part of their relationship!

Some Non-Wedding Fun

As much as we love weddings at colemanshots, we really enjoy being able to be involved in other parts of people’s lives as well. Our sub-company, Kitty Hawk Photo, has given us tons of opportunities to do that as it’s really taken off this summer. This branch of colemanshots LLC is managed by Tom Lee, my number two in the business.

We’ve gotten to be involved in some really fun and creative shoots with families and couples this season, and wanted to make sure in all the hustle and bustle of the wedding season we didn’t forget to share some of that with you!

The Teague wedding took place in the beautiful Elizabethan Gardens.

I love spring weddings in the gardens! The bride’s striking red bouquet looked great against the backdrop of leafy green. They had a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day…we wish the Teagues a beautiful marriage for years to come!

The Zils wedding took place where the road literally ends, on the northern beaches of the Outer Banks.

The secluded, wild beach of Corova is the perfect spot for romance, just right for the Zils’ obvious love and passion for each other. The wedding took place at the Hemingway house, one of the many breathtaking homes located on these unspoiled beaches.

Tom and I really enjoyed this wedding and working with a couple that was so easygoing and so noticeably happy together. We wish the Zils the best in everything that’s to come!

Heisman Wedding

It was great to see Eric and Kathryn again to shoot their wedding. I love when I get to be with couples through the whole process from shooting their engagement photos all the way to shooting the big day!

The Heisman wedding was at the beautiful Grand Ritz Palm and went off without a bump thanks to some of my favorite OBX wedding professionals: the team at The Proper Setting, Reverend Jay Bowman, DJ Professionals and Video, The Embellishers, and Red Sky Cafe.

We were able to really enjoy the beautiful Outer Banks day with the Heismans and showcase their engaging personalities! Good Luck to the Heismans!

The Walters could not have asked for a more perfect day for a wedding!

The ocean was perfectly green, exactly matching the wedding colors and green bridesmaid dresses. To make this wedding even better, Jay Bowman performed a classy beach wedding ceremony followed by some of the Good Life’s amazing food.

The Walters were an exciting couple to work with, and we really enjoyed capturing their fun personalities as they celebrated their marriage. Good luck to the Walters!

Scout and Bryan are a super fun couple.

I know Scout through the embellishers. Scout is the daughter of a GREAT friend of mine Brenda Korbach. She and Gail make up the best floral company on the beach.

Scout and Bryan had an awesome wedding at the Elizabethan Gardens, performed by Dr. Dave Keller.

The reception was held in the back yard of Brenda's house. A great wedding all around.

Outer Banks Restaurant Guide

A few weeks ago I had the privilege to shoot for the Outer Banks Restaurant Guide.

I went from Avon to Nags Head shooting food all day(with a few bride meeting in-between)

I shot "The Froggy Dog" in Avon, "Ships Wheel" in Kill Devil Hills, and "Nags Head Pier"
